On the afternoon of June 9, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour chaired a regular meeting, summarizing internal organizational work, serving the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vice Presidents: Thai Thu Xuong, Le Van Nghia.
At the meeting, leaders of the Trade Union Affairs Committee informed about outstanding activities taking place in May, including directing and organizing Workers' Month; preparations for the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress... Representatives of departments and divisions also drew experience in the preparation and organization of the Congress.
Also here, the VGCL informed about the organization of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress. Accordingly, to date, the organization of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress has been completed according to the set plan.
Before the Congress, the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labour established 4 Sub-committees to prepare for the Congress, all Sub-committees have working groups; assigning members to perform tasks promptly, in accordance with their expertise, field, and occupation, creating conditions for each member to successfully complete assigned tasks; proactively organizing regular and regular meetings to deploy activities; promptly adjusting and overcoming difficulties and obstacles, ensuring that all tasks are completed to organize the Congress successfully.
According to the assessment and comments of the majority of delegates attending the congress and the mass media, the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress has completed the entire content, proposed program, document content, and propaganda activities in accordance with the Party's leadership orientation, in line with the workers' movement and the activities of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.
The propaganda work is diverse, rich, innovative, highlighting the position, role, creativity, and flexibility of the trade union organization in the context of operating under the new model; creating a deep impression on cadres, union members nationwide and delegates attending the congress; being recognized and highly appreciated by Party and State leaders, departments, ministries, and branches at the central and local levels from the preparation work, the organization of the Congress, creating a heroic atmosphere, ready to integrate into the new era of the country.
According to information at the meeting, as of June 6, there were nearly 1,300 propaganda articles about the Congress published in news agencies and newspapers; more than 12,000 articles posted on social networks with 10 million accesses.
Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Ngo Duy Hieu highly appreciated the efforts of the entire collective in the process of preparing and organizing the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress. On this occasion, the Standing Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour also oriented a number of activities in the coming time, emphasizing the responsibility of each trade union official to soon bring the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress into life.
Concluding at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour affirmed that the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union was successfully organized. The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour emotionally said: "This is the effort of the entire team of cadres, civil servants, and public employees of the General Confederation's departments".
Chairman Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized a number of tasks to be done immediately. These are completing the data on union members; advising on building a plan to organize the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union; contents related to the Charter; implementing trade union financial work; establishing functions and tasks of each level of Trade Union...
The President of the VGCL also proposed that in June, it is necessary to complete a number of tasks, including completing the action program; establishing a team to develop projects; building AI films to thoroughly grasp the Congress Resolution; guiding the implementation of the Charter; relevant departments to do a good job of commending individuals and units that do a good job of organizing the Congress.
