On the afternoon of November 14, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the VGCL - worked with the People's Committee of Tien Giang province on the implementation of the Trade Union Institution project in Tien Giang.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Van Nghia - Head of the Trade Union Institution Project Management Board (VGCL) - said that at the end of August 2024, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province approved the adjustment of the master plan at a scale of 1/500 for the Trade Union Institution project in Tien Giang. After that, the VGCL approved the investment policy for the Trade Union Institution project in Tien Giang.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested the People's Committee of Tien Giang province to direct the Department of Construction, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Tien Giang Provincial Police) to coordinate to speed up the appraisal of the project's adjusted feasibility study report, appraisal of environmental impact assessment and provide comments to complete the design documents.
In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also requested the People's Committee of Tien Giang province to hand over the remaining land area (about 1.92 hectares) so that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has sufficient legal basis to immediately invest in the housing project of the Trade Union Institutions project in Tien Giang.
Mr. Huynh Trung Nam - Deputy Chief of Office of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee - proposed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor assign specific staff if they encounter difficulties in implementing the Trade Union Institution Project in Tien Giang, then provide feedback to the Office of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee so that the unit can advise on timely solutions to speed up the completion of the above project.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - requested the People's Committee of Tien Giang province to direct relevant departments and branches to coordinate with the Trade Union Institution Project Management Board to remove difficulties in the project implementation process. Thereby, the project will be started and completed soon to meet the housing needs of workers in the area.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu - Vice Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee - requested relevant departments and branches to coordinate with the Trade Union Institution Project Management Board (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) to complete the documents to soon start construction of the housing project under the Trade Union Institution project in Tien Giang.
The Trade Union Institution Project in Tien Giang is built in Trung An Commune (My Tho City, Tien Giang Province). The scale of the residential area has 4 blocks of 8-storey buildings, with 526 apartments. The total investment of the project is over 520 billion VND.
