Khanh Hoa Health Sector conducts examinations for more than 2.7 million patients
Visiting and congratulating doctors, officers and medical staff working at the Provincial General Hospital, Dermatology Hospital, Oncology Hospital, and Khanh Hoa Provincial Tropical Hospital, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tri - Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor gave words of encouragement and sharing to each union member and employee.
In 2024, Khanh Hoa Health Department examined more than 2.7 million patients, treated nearly 226,800 inpatients, and operated on more than 31,030 cases.
According to the leaders of hospitals, with the efforts of doctors, nurses, and employees at the units, the Khanh Hoa health system is gradually improving.
Hospitals are also developing orientations on human resources and equipment, improving medical examination and treatment capacity in the spirit of Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
In particular, Khanh Hoa General Hospital with more than 1,000 employees is being invested in and built to become an end-line hospital in the South Central Coast region; the Provincial Tropical Diseases Hospital is also being proposed to upgrade the planning to become a regional hospital...
Hope for appropriate treatment for medical staff
In 2024, Khanh Hoa Health Sector Trade Union at all levels organized and coordinated to care for and provide timely support to 5,096 union members and workers in difficult circumstances. The total cost of direct support for union members is nearly 2.5 billion VND.
At the same time, actively coordinate with the Provincial Federation of Labor to survey and support 2 union members with housing difficulties to receive financial support of 60 million VND/case to build a Trade Union Shelter.
In the spring of 2025, Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa - Physician of Ninh Ha Ward Health Station, Ninh Hoa Town was excited to celebrate Tet with her family in a new house thanks to the support of the Trade Union.
After 22 years of marriage, this is the first house of Ms. Hoa and her husband. And since having a new house, Ms. Hoa has been able to work with peace of mind, no longer having to worry about flooding every rainy season.
According to the Khanh Hoa Health Sector Trade Union, the whole sector currently has 7,781 workers and civil servants (CNVCLD), of which, there are 7,472 union members (with 5,368 female workers). The Khanh Hoa Health Sector's workforce is mostly young workers, with 85.6% of workers aged 30-45.
Currently, the main income of employees in the health sector is salary from the State budget. In which, the average salary in the administrative and career sector is from 5 - 7 million VND/person/month, in the non-state sector is from 5 - 8 million VND/person/month.
Many units have actively and proactively implemented service activities to create more jobs and increase unpaid income for employees. However, the income and life of the majority of employees still face many difficulties.
One of the current concerns that many health workers have sent to all levels is the salary and allowance policies, and appropriate treatment for health workers, commensurate with the requirements of the task and the nature of the work.
In addition, the Health Sector also hopes that the locality will soon issue a Training Project to improve the quality of medical human resources for Khanh Hoa General Hospital to become the regional end-of-line hospital. At the same time, there should be a resolution on training regimes to attract talent in the health sector in the province soon.
