At the 5th Trade Union Congress of Dien Bien Rubber Joint Stock Company, term 2025-2030, which was just held, Mr. Hoang Xuan Loi - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union - said that the Company's Trade Union currently has 3 departmental trade unions and 15 trade union groups with 673 union members.
In the period of 2023-2025, despite facing difficulties in large and dispersed production areas, the Trade Union has accompanied businesses to maintain growth. Specifically, rubber latex output has increased steadily over the years, from more than 4,122 tons (in 2023) to an estimated 4,550 tons in 2025. The big bright spot is the profit index.
From modest VND 2.69 billion in pre-tax profit in 2023 and VND 29.78 billion in 2024, the company is expected to reach a record VND 46 billion in 2025. Along with that, the revenue paid to the State budget in 2025 is estimated at 10.5 billion VND.
The improvement in production and business has created a premise for the Trade Union to perform well the function of caring for the lives of workers.
With the characteristics of 98.41% of the total 880 workers being ethnic minorities, Dien Bien Rubber Trade Union aims to ensure jobs and improve the lives of workers.
Currently, the average income is estimated at 6.7 million VND/person/month in 2025. The policies for employees are fully paid with an amount of 10-12 billion VND/year.
Not only worrying about " making a living", the spiritual life of workers is also " breathed into a new breeze". The company has invested in building a multi-purpose gymnasium, badminton court, volleyball court and even Pickleball court.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Sau - Chairman of the Muong Cha Rubber Team Trade Union, the team currently has 280 workers. The workforce is mostly ethnic minorities, living scattered in many areas far from the center, with limited access to information. Therefore, if there is no specific propaganda and guidance, workers can easily misunderstand or violate regulations on labor safety" - Mr. Sau said.
Therefore, the key task of grassroots trade unions is to promote propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, at the same time, mobilize people to work as workers and participate in protecting the garden...
Mr. Nguyen Cong Tam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dien Bien Rubber Joint Stock Company - also affirmed that with the current salary, it is a worthy income, helping local workers have a better life.
Trade Union towards the grassroots
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Mui - Vice President of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union - also acknowledged the efforts of the Dien Bien Rubber collective. He highly appreciated the unit for facing more difficult weather, climate and soil conditions than many other regions, but still achieving impressive productivity.
The Vice President of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union emphasized: The Trade Union needs to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots. It is necessary to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members, especially the direct labor sector, to better resolve policies and regimes".
Mr. Mui also noted that the Trade Union needs to promote emulation movements, encourage technical innovation initiatives to reduce labor capacity, while taking care of workers' health and organizing regular visits.
For the 2025-2030 term, Dien Bien Rubber Trade Union aims to bring the average income of workers to 7 million VND/month, striving to increase by 5-7% per year.
