In 2024, there were 33 serious work accidents in the area, killing 38 people and seriously injuring 5 people, including a particularly serious work accident at Binh Minh Wood Production and Trading Company Limited (Thien Tan Commune, Vinh Cuu District) that killed 6 people and injured 5 others.
Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Huu Dinh called for: Strengthen specialized inspection and examination of the implementation of regulations on occupational safety and hygiene, especially in enterprises and production facilities with high risks to promptly detect, rectify and strictly handle violations.
Enterprises need to fully implement the regimes and policies on wages, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and other benefits for employees; Regularly and periodically organize dialogue activities, listen to and absorb the opinions of enterprises and collective laborers...
