Improving skills in collective work stoppage resolution
In order to equip union officials with knowledge about labor relations and skills to respond to and prevent collective work stoppages and strikes that are not in accordance with legal regulations, the Standing Committee of the Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor has organized 2 professional training courses on skills and methods for nearly 300 grassroots union officials, union members and workers.
At the training courses at Viet Power Company Limited (Hai Hau District) and Nice Power Company Limited (Giao Thuy District), participants had frank exchanges, giving opinions to share views from the actual situation. In particular, it emphasizes the analysis of the causes of collective work stoppages from a multidimensional and objective perspective.
Mr. Ngo Chi Thuc - Vice Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that improving skills in participating in preventing and resolving collective work stoppages and strikes that do not comply with legal regulations is a key task of the Trade Union organization.
In the coming time, in order to aim to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises, grassroots union officials play a very important role in propagating and mobilizing, grasping psychology, listening and sharing difficulties with workers. At the same time, it is necessary to be vigilant against untrue and distorted information on social networking sites; alert to exploiting and receiving information from official sources; avoid being agitated by bad guys, luring them to stop work, causing disorder and insecurity, affecting work quality.
