Mr. Nguyen Minh Long started working at An Khanh Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, Thai Nguyen from the end of 2020 as an assigned staff member of C&I - power plant unit, operation workshop. Having a desire to learn and explore at work, Mr. Minh started to take advantage of old parts in the company to repair and assemble machinery.
In 2022, the company had to install an axle bridge system to repair cars. However, the old axle bridge system is too complicated, many parts are unnecessary, and the equipment is damaged, causing difficulties in installation and control. Therefore, Mr. Long proposed to change the control system to save costs and remove some old unused equipment to install a remote bridge controller for easy installation, repair and operation of the bridge.
After application, Mr. Long's initiative has profited 247,500,000 VND (in 12 months), not to mention the labor rental fee for installing a new bridge. "The motivation for me to have an initiative is because of my passion for work, dedication and creativity; when those initiatives and creativity are highly applicable, serving the work and the overall development of the company" - Mr. Long shared.
In enterprises in industrial parks in Thai Nguyen province, the movement to promote initiatives and improve techniques was also launched by trade unions with widespread influence, and was responded to by foreign-invested enterprises and workers themselves.
The initiatives not only focus on improving equipment, production lines, saving raw materials, but also focus on improving working conditions, improving labor productivity, ensuring labor safety and minimizing environmental impacts. Many valuable initiatives come from practical work every day.
A typical example is Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Head of the Maintenance Team at the Precision Mechanical Enterprise, with the initiative to improve the automatic hydraulic oil supply system, with a profit of 3.2 billion VND/year. Or Ms. Le Thu Huong, Yen Binh Industrial Park Packaging Processing Factory, with the initiative to improve the automatic reusable reusable lubricating system, the value is 2.6 billion VND/year.
In the period of 2020-2025, the movement to promote initiatives and improve techniques in industrial parks in Thai Nguyen province has recorded nearly 3,000 initiatives of cadres, union members and workers, with a total value of benefits of up to 184 billion VND.
Informing reporters, Mr. Duong Van Thai - Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks Trade Union said that the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union has played a core role in launching, guiding and organizing emulation movements to promote initiatives and technical improvements and considering this an important task to mobilize and attract a large number of union members to participate.
The unit has mobilized businesses to build an Innovation Fund to create resources to support the implementation of innovation topics and technical improvements. The affiliated trade unions coordinate with enterprises to develop plans to launch periodic emulation movements, promptly commend and reward highly effective initiatives to replicate the movement" - Mr. Thai shared.
