On the afternoon of January 14, in Hung Son commune, Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province, a working delegation from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited, wished a happy new year and gave gifts to the people.
Attending the program were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Prof. Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the Academy.
On behalf of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, there was Ms. Vu Thi Giang Huong, member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
At the program, the delegation presented 150 gifts to 100 poor households and 50 workers in difficult circumstances in Kim Boi district, each gift worth 1.3 million VND.
At the program, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics highly appreciated the results and efforts that Hung Son commune and Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province have achieved in recent years.
At the same time, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics hopes that in the coming time, the government and people of the commune will strive to achieve even greater results. He especially emphasized the coordination between the government and businesses to take care of the lives of the people and workers in the area.
Hung Son commune was merged from 3 communes Hung Tien, Nat Son, Bac Son with a natural area of 56.98 km2, has 12 hamlets, including 3 Dao villages, 5 extremely difficult hamlets, has 1,916 households, with 8,844 people including 10 ethnic groups living together. The total number of meritorious people receiving regular allowances is 39 people; the number of social protection beneficiaries receiving allowances is 338 people.
Over the years, the Party Committee, the government, and the mass organizations from the commune to the hamlet have always been united, unified, and led the people to develop the economy, maintain national defense and security. Infrastructure, classrooms, and medical stations have been invested in and built to become more and more spacious. The poverty rate has decreased by an average of 4.4% per year; the average income per capita has increased from 29.8 million VND/person/year in 2021 to 41.2 million VND/person/year in 2024.
On the same day, the delegation also attended the inauguration of the solidarity house of Mrs. Bui Thi Ha's family (Dam Rung hamlet, Vinh Tien commune, Kim Boi district).
