On the morning of October 13, to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and the 14th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20, the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor organized a dance contest for union members, civil servants, and workers in 2024.
Attending the event were Ms. Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, along with representatives and leaders of the Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, the Party Committee of the provincial agencies, and leaders of departments, branches and unions of Hai Duong province.
The competition had the participation of 18 teams from 18 grassroots-level Trade Unions with 353 dancers participating as union members and workers from labor federations of districts, cities and industry unions in Hai Duong province.
The dance performances were performed to vibrant music with songs praising the homeland, the country, the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, and the Vietnam Trade Union Organization.
The contest is organized with the desire to create a strong and widespread influence in the social community, so that all levels, sectors, agencies, units, enterprises, and trade union organizations in the province have programs and plans to care for health, material and spiritual needs, timely encouragement, protection of legitimate rights and interests of female union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances,... and pay attention to and coordinate the organization of activities and events to attract a large number of female union members and workers to participate on the occasion of International Women's Day March 8, Vietnamese Family Day June 28, Vietnamese Women's Day October 20...
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 18 prizes, including 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 5 Third prizes and 10 Consolation prizes.
At the same time, at the event, the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with Hai Duong Obstetrics Hospital and Medlatec Vietnam Co., Ltd. to organize examinations, reproductive health care consultations, blood cancer screening tests, and thyroid ultrasounds for 350 female union members and workers.
