The men's football tournament is the opening activity of the 2025 working month of the Labor Union of Hai Phong City, practically celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), 139 years of International Labor Day (1.5.1886 - 1.5.2025), 70 years of Hai Phong Liberation Day (13.5.1955-13.5.5.2025)
The tournament has the participation of 16 men's football teams with nearly 300 players, coaches who are union members and employees from the city trade union levels. The official tournament started from April 13 and expected to end in the middle of May with a total of 31 matches, playing on Sunday mornings weekly.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong Labor Union - said that the football tournament is an activity in response to the campaign "The entire people train their body in the example of the great Uncle Ho", continue to promote the movement of physical training, sports in general and football in particular for workers in agencies, units and businesses. Through the tournament, Hai Phong City Labor Federation will select the best players to participate in the National Football Championship, the National Labor in 2025 and determined to achieve the highest achievement in this tournament.
