Accordingly, the city plans to develop 52,000 union members in 2025, of which, grassroots union members are 48,500 people and grassroots union members are 6,500 people. During Workers' Month alone, the City Labor Federation strives to develop at least 10,000 union members.
The City Labor Federation also developed a plan to award funding to support the construction and repair of 30 "Union Shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances; and provide subsidies to 2,000 workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 1.5 million VND during Workers' Month.
Regarding activities to care for the spiritual life of union members, the City Labor Federation plans to organize "Workers' Day" for 2 days with a series of cultural and sports activities such as the Team Running Competition associated with the launch of the "Online Walking, Running" Contest, physical performances between direct and online hours, employees' swimming competitions, flower arranging competitions. Along with that, discuss the plan to organize the 2025 Women's and Men's Football Tournament for Workers.
Regarding the draft regulations on spending visits and subsidies for union members and employees in difficult circumstances, the Labor Federation plans to spend visits and encouragement for union members, workers, civil servants and employees who are in difficulty, have work-related accidents, serious illnesses, food poisoning, natural disasters, fires, epidemics... up to 2,000,000 VND/person; union members who die and spend up to 10 million VND/person (incidents of suicide, law violations... are not supported); Union members with serious illnesses or disability rates of 81% or more or treatment and hospitalization costs over 200 million VND or hospitalization for treatment over 90 days (with hospital documents) are supported with a maximum of 10,000,000 VND. Each union member and employee will only receive support once in one form per year.
Delegates discussed and contributed opinions on a number of key targets and activities during Workers' Month to suit the actual situation, focusing on developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, and caring for workers' lives. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation requested departments and units to organize activities well during Workers' Month, especially large-scale activities, attracting thousands of workers.
In 2025, the city will spend 3 billion to develop union members. Therefore, units focus resources to review, propagate, mobilize, admit union members, establish grassroots unions and unions, and complete targets at the highest level.
