According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, in recent years, the model of "Environmental workers - patrol soldiers" has been gathering and strongly promoting the role and responsibility of all classes of people in preventing, fighting and denouncing crimes and law violations.
This is a model of “self-defense, self-management, self-protection of security and order” built on the basis of coordination between Thanh Hoa City Police and environmental workers in the city. The purpose of the model is to enhance the role and responsibility of Party committees and authorities at all levels; mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system, social organizations and the entire population to participate in ensuring security and order, building a movement for the entire population to protect national security.
At the same time, create a mechanism for close and comprehensive coordination between the city police and environmental workers in ensuring security and order; encourage and guide workers to actively and proactively prevent, detect, combat and denounce crimes and violations of the law.
After more than 3 years of operation, this model has attracted a large number of environmental workers to participate with a spirit of volunteerism, responsibility and efficiency. Thereby, it has provided the police with more than 2,000 reports related to security, order, fire prevention and fighting, and traffic safety violations. Of which, there are hundreds of reports that are valuable in crime prevention and law violations.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thai Hung - Deputy Head of Thanh Hoa City Police said that in the coming time, the unit will continue to do a good job of advising local Party committees and authorities to deploy and effectively implement the movement of the entire people to protect national security.
Along with that, replicate effective operating models; promptly commend and reward exemplary individuals and groups to promote people's responsibility and obligation in proactively preventing, detecting and denouncing crimes.
