Within 3 months from the date of termination of the labor contract or employment contract, employees who are unemployed and need to receive unemployment benefits can choose to submit an application for unemployment benefits in 2 forms.
The first form is to submit online on the National Public Service Portal. The second form is to directly submit the application for unemployment benefits at the one-stop department, Hanoi Employment Service Center (can be submitted at 2 addresses: No. 215 Trung Kinh Street, Cau Giay, Hanoi; No. 144 Tran Phu, Ha Dong, Hanoi).
The condition for receiving unemployment insurance is that the employee who is paying unemployment insurance is an employee with a month immediately preceding the termination of the labor contract or employment contract who has paid unemployment insurance, confirmed by the Social Insurance unit.
Having paid unemployment insurance for 12 months or more, within 24 months before the termination of the labor contract, employment contract for unterm labor contract, employment contract for indefinite term; employment contract, employment contract for fixed term.
Having paid unemployment insurance for 12 months or more for 36 months before terminating the labor contract for seasonal labor contracts, or for a certain job with a term of 3 months to less than 12 months.
Having submitted an application for unemployment insurance at the Employment Service Center under the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Department of Home Affairs) where they work when they lose their job, or terminate their labor contract/work contract according to regulations.
Not found a job after 15 days (calculated according to the working day), from the date of submitting the application for unemployment insurance at the Employment Service Center.
