The 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Tuoi Tre Newspaper, with the support of many other units.
This year, the tournament will go through 2 rounds. The qualifying round will be held in 4 regions: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Nghe An, Bac Ninh in September and October 2024. After the qualifying round, 16 excellent teams will participate in the final round, held in Hanoi in November.
The qualifying round of Region 4 - Ho Chi Minh City gathered 16 participating teams, including teams from provincial labor federations such as: Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union 1, Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union 2, Ben Tre Trade Union, Dong Nai Trade Union 1, Dong Nai Trade Union 2, Dong Nai Trade Union 3, Dong Nai Trade Union 4, Soc Trang Trade Union, Textile and Garment Trade Union, An Giang Trade Union, Dong Thap Trade Union, Ca Mau Trade Union. In addition, the tournament also had the participation of corporate teams such as: Long An International Port, Coteccons, Rong Viet Securities, Biti's.
16 teams will be divided into 4 groups, each group has 4 teams. The teams will compete in a round robin to calculate points, selecting the first and second teams in each group to compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals (according to the code diagram). The 4 teams that qualify for the semi-finals will be eligible to participate in the national finals.
The total prize of the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament in the qualifying round of region 4 - Ho Chi Minh City is up to 130 million VND. Of which, the champion of the qualifying round of the region receives 50 million VND, the second place team receives 30 million VND, and the third place team receives 20 million VND.
In addition, the regional qualifying round also has many other secondary awards such as: Best Player, Player with the most goals, Best Goalkeeper, Most Fairplay Team, Most Impressive Cheerleading Team, Best Referee Team. Each secondary award is worth 5 million VND.
In addition to organizing football matches, the organizing committee also carries out supporting activities such as: Free examination and consultation on sports medicine and musculoskeletal diseases, combined with prescription drug distribution; daily lucky draw; discount booths, recycling old clothes... to take care of the cultural and spiritual life of workers, attracting spectators to the stadium to watch and cheer.
