In her opening speech, Ms. Vuong Thi Anh - Chairwoman of Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union emphasized: The tournament not only creates a healthy sports playground but also contributes to strengthening the spirit of solidarity and exchange between Party committees at all levels, authorities, trade unions and workers. This is also a practical activity in response to the exciting competitive atmosphere after the success of the 1st Ward Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
This year's Pickleball tournament has the participation of 50 athletes from grassroots trade unions in the ward. The competition events include men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed-women's doubles, organized according to the rules of the Asian Pickleball Federation.
The Organizing Committee said that the preparation of facilities, sound, court, referee... has been completed, ready for exciting and fair matches. The opening atmosphere was exciting, attracting many union members to cheer.
The 2nd Pickleball Tournament is an activity within the plan of the Ward Union to promote the movement of physical exercise, improve health to serve work and labor; at the same time, create a highlight in the series of activities to celebrate the 1st Nghia Lo Ward Union Congress.
The closing ceremony and award ceremony are expected to take place on the afternoon of November 15, right after the end of the final matches.
