The project passes through the two provinces of Lao Cai and Phu Tho, with a total investment of more than 7,400 billion VND. When put into operation, the project will release about 2,000MW from the hydropower plant in the Northwest region, reducing transmission losses and increasing the stability of the national power system.

In Minh Chuan commune (Lao Cai), Power Transmission Company 2 (PTC2) is constructing locations VT106, VT111, VT116 with 3 teams, including 72 engineers and workers. "The terrain is mountainous and rugged, transporting equipment takes a lot of effort. Sometimes, we have to cut each steel pipe and then carry it to the construction site. Power Transmission Company 3 (PTC3) also sent more than 90 people to locations in Minh Xuan commune, deploying both the erection of poles and the preparation of ropes at the same time," said Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Head of PTC2 Technical Department.
Forecasting the unstable weather in the coming days, the Executive Board has fully implemented the "4 on-site" motto (on-site command; on-site forces; on-site vehicles and supplies; on-site logistics), ready to respond to natural disasters and heavy rains.
