Khanh Hoa - Workers in private kindergartens have the support of the Trade Union.

On September 29, the Labor Union of Cam Ranh City (Khanh Hoa) held a ceremony to announce the decision to admit new members and establish the Cam Ranh Private Preschool Union. This is the first union for workers working at private preschools in Khanh Hoa province.

Mr. Chau Hoang Nguyen - Vice President of the Labor Federation of Cam Ranh City - said that after 3 months of coordinating to mobilize workers and owners of private preschools in the 3 wards of Cam Loi, Cam Loc and Cam Thinh Dong commune, the Labor Federation of the City has received applications from 38 workers to voluntarily join the Union.

Considering the conditions and regulations, 10 preschools in 3 wards meet the requirements for establishing a private preschool union to operate. The Cam Ranh City Labor Federation has decided to admit 38 union members and establish the union.

Currently, the Union has 9 private kindergartens including: Thuan Giao, Su Su, Son Ca, Huong Sen, Kim Dao, Hoa Son, Hong Ngoc, Ong Vang, Baby located in the area. 100% of the employees at the facilities participate in the union.

At the announcement ceremony, the Cam Ranh Private Preschool Union's provisional executive board was also introduced with 3 members, and the provisional union's inspection committee was also appointed by the Cam Ranh City Labor Federation.

According to Mr. Chau Hoang Nguyen, the Private Preschool Union was officially established and put into operation. After the Executive Board's inauguration ceremony, the Inspection Committee held a meeting to assign specific tasks to each member and organize Union activities according to regulations.

The Private Preschool Union will continue to develop new members and prepare well the conditions to organize the Congress as prescribed in the soonest time.

Mr. Nguyen also sent his message to all employees of private kindergartens who have become union members with their abilities, contributing much to the growth and development of the Union. Any questions, suggestions, exchanges, proposals to the Union Executive Committee, Union President for help, advice, support, mutual assistance...

Cam Ranh City currently has 15 communes and wards with many private preschools. The establishment of the Private Preschool Union not only creates a support for private sector workers who are still facing many difficulties, but also creates a common home for teachers and workers in specific occupations to connect and support each other.

In the coming time, Cam Ranh City Labor Federation will continue to mobilize union members in private preschools in the remaining communes and wards.

Currently, Khanh Hoa has hundreds of private kindergartens without a trade union. Previously, the Nha Trang City Labor Federation mobilized 7 companies and private kindergartens in the area to sign a collective labor agreement to ensure the rights and reasonable working conditions for teachers and workers in the field of preschool education. This group agreement has brought many beneficial contents for workers such as: Workers with young children sent to school are supported with at least 50% of the school's prescribed fees; quality shift meals for workers; organizing a trip for workers once a year...
