For 3 days, from November 30 to December 2, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) urgently organized working groups to visit and present gifts to support union members and workers who suffered heavy losses during the recent floods in Suoi Dau Industrial Park and Dien Phu Industrial Cluster.
At Suoi Dau Industrial Park, the Provincial Industrial Park Trade Union has supported 44 union members of Hai Vuong Group whose houses were completely flooded, each person received 1 million VND to stabilize their lives.
The company representative said that about 50% of the group's employees were affected with nearly 700 people suffering heavy damage to their homes.
At the same time, many other enterprises such as Thong Nhat Swimming Equipment Company, Rapecco Dai Nam Company, F.L.D Company, Komega - X Company... also recorded hundreds of workers being damaged and losing their property due to floodwaters.
Some enterprises such as Thong Thuan Company and Thong Nhat Swimming Equipment Company have more than 50% of their employees affected.
Leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor and the Industrial Park Trade Union directly visited, encouraged and presented support to the union members.
Mr. Phan Thanh Liem, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, said that the Provincial Federation of Labor has deployed 7,350 gifts, worth 1-2 million VND per person, with a total estimated cost of 9.8 billion VND.
In the immediate future, 800 workers in industrial parks and industrial clusters have been supported with 1 million VND each.
We are directing trade unions at all levels to review, provide direct support to affected union members and mobilize additional social resources so that no worker in difficulty cannot be helped, Mr. Liem emphasized.
Currently, support work is still being continuously implemented, helping workers quickly overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and return to production.
