Over 58 billion VND to take care of family members during Tet
Giving a quick report on the results of taking care of the Lunar New Year 2025, Mr. Bui Dang Thanh - Permanent Vice President of Khanh Hoa Labor Federation, said - 100% of trade unions at all levels in the province accompanied the government and employers to develop plans to organize activities to take care of Tet for union members and employees. The total amount of money and gifts that trade unions at all levels supported union members and employees during Tet 2025 was more than 58 billion VND.
Accordingly, the program “Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang” was widely organized from the provincial to the grassroots level. Governments and organizations from the central to local levels participated in visiting and giving Tet gifts to union members, contributing to increasing the motivation to work and the excitement of workers before the new year.
From January 14 to New Year's Eve (January 28), trade unions at all levels in the province presented 10,000 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Of these, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 2,500 gifts (VND 1 million/gift), and the grassroots trade unions directly above the grassroots level presented 7,500 gifts (VND 500,000/gift).
Organized the “Union Tet Market” from January 16-18 with 5 zero-dong booths and 26 discount booths. Here, unions at all levels gave zero-dong shopping vouchers (worth 200,000-300,000 VND/voucher) to nearly 1,000 union members.
Regarding the Lunar New Year bonus, the average for the whole province is over 8.3 million VND/person. The highest bonus is 400 million VND and the lowest is 500,000 VND. There is 1 enterprise that owes wages and 1 enterprise that has not announced the Tet bonus plan, leading to 50 workers stopping work. After the union intervened, the enterprise paid part of the owed wages and gave Tet bonuses to the workers.
Focus on developing union members
Deploying the 2025 tasks to the Labor Federations of districts, towns, and industry unions, Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of the Labor Federation of Khanh Hoa province emphasized: the theme of this year's activities is to focus on developing union members and participating in building a clean and strong Party.
In addition to regular tasks, in 2025, Khanh Hoa Trade Union strives to complete the targets with 8 main tasks and solutions set forth by the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
In particular, focusing on implementing the organization and apparatus of the trade union towards streamlining, effective and efficient operations. Strengthening the propaganda work of the contents of the Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Congress of the Party.
In 2025, Khanh Hoa trade unions at all levels will focus on increasing the proportion of union members to the total number of employees in places where unions have been established. The focus is on grassroots trade unions in industrial parks, industrial clusters and areas with a large concentration of enterprises. Strive to cover all qualified enterprises with grassroots trade unions and develop 20,000 new union members according to the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
