Creative application in agriculture
Mr. Duong Xuan Manh (born in 1984) - working at Agitec Company, under TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company, is a young engineer who is passionate about his work. He always seeks technical innovation initiatives in the high-tech agricultural sector, with the goal of contributing to improving labor productivity and helping the company develop sustainably.
Since he was a student at Vinh University, with outstanding achievements in studying and working, Duong Xuan Manh was admitted to the Party and had the aspiration to contribute to his homeland. After graduating, he started with a seemingly difficult and unfamiliar job for a young man from the city - a job of growing grass and raising cows in the mountainous areas of Nghia Dan and then constantly tried to learn and strive to develop his career at Agitec. With passion and responsibility, he has achieved many successes.
As a plant protection monitoring engineer at Agitec, he found a big problem in the company when it depended on imported Mombasa Guinea grass seeds from countries such as Brazil and Thailand. The company needs about 2,000kg of seeds per year, at a cost of nearly 600 million VND. This has caused the company to not be able to proactively source seeds and has to face high costs, affecting production.
To prevent the situation from continuing, he and his colleagues researched and proposed a solution to self-produced grass seeds right at the company. This solution has helped the company not only reduce costs, but also proactively source seeds, ensure a stable supply and save hundreds of millions of VND per year.
With this initiative, he has helped the company about 720 million VND per year. His initiative has been widely applied in TH Group's projects such as in Thanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Da Lat.
Passion for research and technical improvement
Mr. Duong Xuan Manh's creativity and passion for research does not stop at self-producing seeds. He also constantly explores new solutions to improve the production process and reduce costs.
He has researched and improved the process of collecting Mombasa grass seeds, using a harvester to collect seeds right on the field, minimizing the cost of manual seed collection. This solution has helped the company reduce costs and increase production efficiency.
Mr. Manh shared that seed collection is very expensive and complicated, especially the manual collection stage. However, with the initiative of using a harvesting machine, seed collection is now carried out at the same time as the harvesting activity, helping to save a lot of costs. This initiative not only helps save costs for the company but also improves work efficiency and increases labor productivity.
With these efforts, Mr. Manh was awarded the Certificate of "Creative Labor" by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for his contributions to applying technology to production and improving industrial processes.
Mr. Duong Xuan Manh shared: "This honor will be a great motivation for me to continue to strive to be creative and contribute more to the development of the enterprise, worthy of the trust of the Party, the company's leadership and the Trade Union organization".
Due to many excellent achievements, Mr. Manh has received many certificates of merit and certificates of merit from businesses and trade unions at all levels. He is one of 95 party members who are workers of Nghe An Labor Federation on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
