Until today, Ms. Cu has not been able to end her happiness and pride since attending the 1st Conference to honor outstanding workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 2025 organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Ms. Cu has worked at Hung Long Garment and Service Joint Stock Company (My Hao District, Hung Yen) since 2004, as a worker at workshop 1 - specializing in weaving; in 2011, she was the head of the production team. In 2014, she was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
loving her work, being eager to learn, and being attached to the company, Ms. Cu has many initiatives during her work, especially initiatives related to guiding the change of sewing methods, most typically the initiative of checking bamboo shoots without being stuck.
"Usually, new workers or workers who are not yet skilled in sewing bamboo shoots and hand-sewing always need a fixed amount of workers to remove the sticks in front of 3 layers of materials before running the sewing line, and after sewing, they need workers to remove the sticks. I have guided, improved skills, and supported students who do not use bricks to still be able to draw according to their requirements, helping to save labor on product bricks, save allowances and improve labor productivity of the team," Ms. Cu shared.
Thanks to initiatives from practical production and application for production, the team where Ms. Cu is the team leader is considered an excellent advanced team for many years, the average salary and income of employees in the team always reaches the top 5 teams with high salaries (in 2023, the average was 11.6 million VND/person/month, the average of the company was 11.2 million VND/person/month).
The poor woman endured hard, rising from a direct worker on the job, Ms. Cu was evaluated and honored by the Emulation Council of Hung Long Garment and Service Joint Stock Company to be awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the company level in 2016, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2023.
Having a husband working at the same company, Ms. Cu is even happier because her two sons are Obedient and study hard. Her eldest son was born in 2002, graduated from Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports, and is currently a teacher at sports centers in Hanoi. The second son is in grade 11, taking good care of his parents, helping with housework... In particular, her husband completely supports his wife's work, so she always has a strong support to strive for...
Valuable capital of a business
According to Ms. Cu, before joining the Party, she only focused on work, cultivated her expertise and ethics, and the rest of her communication was a bit awkward. After standing in the ranks of the Party, she realized that everything had to be different. "As a Party member, you must be different from eating, speaking, communicating, and working. I am aware that I must set an example for my colleagues, especially the next generation. In addition, when the leader and the company recognized my efforts and abilities, I had to try harder..., Ms. Cu shared.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Ngo Minh Hoan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Executive Director of Hung Long Garment and Service Joint Stock Company said that the company has more than 2,000 employees, the Party Cell has 62 Party members. Every year, the company always creates conditions for outstanding workers and laborers to attend party affection classes, and every year, cadres and workers are admitted to the party's ranks.
Talking about Party member Nguyen Thi Cu, Mr. Hoan commented: "Comrade Cu is an exemplary Party member, always completing tasks well, having initiatives applied in production. He not only completed his personal tasks excellently but also built a collective of the production team to always be a united collective, excellently completing professional tasks".
