According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the job fair on November 28 for workers returning home after participating in the EPS and IM Japan Program has 54 participating units, including 14 units with investment capital in Korea and 8 units with investment capital in Japan; the total recruitment and employment demand is 1,880 targets.
In terms of qualifications, enterprises recruit groups with college and university degrees or higher: 609, target; intermediate level, technical workers: 654 target; unskilled labor: 619 target.

According to the age group, there are 524 targets for 18-25 years old; 764 targets for 26-34 years old; 592 targets for 35 years old and above.
Ms. Tong Thi Phuong (Chuong My district, Hanoi) has been working abroad under the EPS Program for the past 2 years.

I used to work as a worker in Korea, my salary depends on the number of overtime hours. Returning to Vietnam for the past 2 years, I have been working as a generalker. Today I joined the job fair because I wanted to find a stable job but not limited by time. With available Korean capital, I want to learn more about Korean-owned enterprises investing in Vietnam, Ms. Phuong shared.
Mr. Dang Van Tai (18 years old, from Quang Binh) although he has just participated in the EPS Program and is preparing to go abroad to work, still comes to listen to direct advice from the enterprise. I have just finished my high school program and am about to go to Korea under the EPS Program to work in the salt industry. Before leaving, I wanted to come here to visit and learn about what job opportunities for workers returning home would be. According to my survey, many enterprises with investment capital from Korea participated in the recruitment session, so I am quite assured about the ability to find a job when my contract expires and I return to Vietnam, said Mr. Tai.
Mr. Nguyen Tay Nam - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs said that recently, in the city, nearly 8,000 workers have been sent to work in Korea under the EPS and IM Japan Program to return home. The job fair is an activity to create opportunities for workers in general and workers working in Korea and Japan to return home soon to find a job, ensuring income. This program also contributes to encouraging and motivating workers to return home with peace of mind when their contracts expire, reducing the rate of illegal workers residing abroad.
The "unpredictable" level of labor supply and demand
Mr. Le Van Truyen - representative of the Vietnam - Korea Medical Joint Venture Company said that the company specializes in the production of medical equipment, so the job positions will be prioritized for candidates with degrees and experience.
"We want to recruit workers with 2-5 years of experience. The position of welder requires high school graduates, priority is having a vocational certificate; service technicians need to work with college and university degrees in electrical and medical engineering, 2-3 years of experience. The company has many good benefits, in addition to allowances such as gasoline, food allowances, and training abroad, participating in trade unions...", Mr. Truyen added.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu - representative of Autonics VNM Co., Ltd. shared that the company needs to recruit new workers from Korea, including many positions suitable for workers who know Korean and have worked in Korea such as interpreter, technician, production manager...
"The company specializes in manufacturing equipment and sensors, so we prioritize workers from Korea because they understand the culture, working mechanisms, and workers with experience working at electronics companies will be a plus point," said Ms. Nhu.
Although there are many job opportunities and a large number of workers applying, the labor supply and demand are still at a certain "vacuum".
A business participating in the session needs to recruit production managers, with a salary of 20 million VND/month; 3 deputy directors with a salary of 30 - 40 million VND/month; 15 team leaders, with a salary of 15 - 20 million VND/month. However, workers with someone who ensures this skill lack other skills.
I have discussed with 5 candidates going to work in Korea under the EPS Returning Home Program, although the job position is good and the benefits are many, the candidates have not satisfied their employers. At the end of the session, we recruited 2 staff members, 3 others were not selected because their Korean language was not good," said a representative of a company with Korean investment capital participating in the recruitment session.
Mr. Dang Huy Hong - Director of the Overseas Labor Center (Colab) - Ministry of Home Affairs said that the Korean Foreign Workers' Employment Licensing Program (EPS Program) has been implemented for more than 20 years. There are more than 145,000 Vietnamese workers who have gone to Korea to work, with large sources of income to improve their family economy and contribute to their homeland.
