At the end of 2023, the workload increased significantly, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Cuong (an IT employee at a company in Can Tho) often worked overtime and ate irregular meals. The prolonged pressure made Mr. Cuong exhausted and hospitalized in a state of physical weakness.
“I started working at night more, sometimes I felt like I didn’t have enough time, but I didn’t feel embarrassed. First of all, I tried to concentrate to ensure I could complete my work ahead of schedule, not letting myself get distracted. Because I used to have digestive problems, I also paid more attention to my diet, supplemented with vitamin C, functional foods and rested. I hope that I will be in good shape to “fight” to complete my work this quarter,” Cuong shared.
Female worker Trinh Hong Can, a worker at An Do Duong Company Limited (Can Tho City) informed that at the end of the year, the company's production situation has improved a lot, the increase in orders is an opportunity for workers to speed up their work to earn more income, but she does not forget about her health.
“These days at the company, we always encourage each other to have more spirit and even though we are tired, we still try to eat more. On weekends, I plan a menu to cook nutritious dishes for the family, and go for a walk and exercise in the park with my husband and children,” said Ms. Can.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu (an accountant in Can Tho) said that in addition to managing work, eating, and exercising, trying to spend time on entertainment also helps workers have more working spirit. "On weekends, I spend about 1-2 hours going to a coffee shop with friends in a space with lots of trees. This brings positive changes to my mental health, helping me connect with nature a lot," Mr. Hieu revealed.
