At the workshop, delegates contributed many opinions on a series of contents of the draft Regulations, such as: Industry, gathering subjects; Principles of organization and operation, Procedure of joining and operating at grassroots trade unions, Organizational structure of grassroots trade unions, Functions of grassroots trade unions, Tasks and powers of grassroots trade unions, Rights and tasks of union members, Principles of financial use of grassroots trade unions, Source of grassroots trade union financial revenue...
Speaking at the workshop, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung acknowledged the profound contributions, the concerns of the delegates, and suggested many new issues that the draft did not mention or was incomplete.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, this is a ripe time to develop the organization and operation of the grassroots union before the actual development needs of the Union.
The development of the Regulation is to contribute to creating a better legal corridor and working conditions for grassroots unions, thereby representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members; propagating and mobilizing union members to strictly implement the Party's policies, guidelines and resolutions, the State's laws and policies, the locality, units and the Vietnam Trade Union organization, study to improve their qualifications, improve professional skills, build and protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation Nguyen Xuan Hung proposed the Drafting Board to fully absorb the comments of the delegates, along with the comments of the workshop expected to be held in the coming time in the South, so that Summarizing and supplementary research for the draft before submitting to the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for consideration.
Regarding the financial issue of the Union, according to the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung, if necessary, it is necessary to organize a separate seminar, invite financial experts, especially trade union finance to contribute opinion.
