On July 20, the Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor (PLF) said: in order to contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of grassroots trade union activities, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has sent a document to the Party Committees of communes, wards and special zones (localities that are not eligible to establish commune and ward trade unions) requesting coordination in monitoring and directing trade union activities in the area.
Currently, the whole province has 419 grassroots unions with more than 85,330 union members, accounting for nearly 90% of the total number of workers. Up to now, the Provincial Federation of Labor has established 3/4 commune and ward trade unions in qualified places, in accordance with the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In particular, Kon Tum Ward Trade Union is waiting for the policy to be established.

In addition, commune and ward trade unions also have the task of gathering and reflecting the legitimate and legal thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; resolving and participating in resolving complaints and denunciations related to the rights and interests of union members and workers; at the same time, mobilizing workers to join trade unions, establish grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions.
