Youme Law Firm LLC said that, based on Article 3 of Resolution 159/2024/QH15, the National Assembly decided not to increase pensions in 2025. Therefore, up to now, the latest pension increase is the increase according to Decree 75/2024/ND-CP.
Therefore, the official 2025 pension of some subjects according to Decree 75/2024/ND-CP is unified at level 1 and level 2 as follows:
- Level 1: increase pension by 15%, applied to all people who retired before and after 1995 as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 1 of Decree 75/2024/ND-CP.
Pension 2025 = 1.15 x Pension in June 2024
- Level 2: increase after an increase of 15%, only applicable to some people who retired before 1995 in Clause 2, Article 1 of Decree 75/2024/ND-CP if after the 15% pension increase, that subject still receives a pension under VND 3,500,000/month.
+ Increase by VND 300,000/person/month for civil servants and public employees with a pension level of less than VND 3,200,000/person/month:
Pension 2025 = 1.15 x Pension for June 2024 + 300,000 VND (if any).
+ Increase by 3,500,000 VND/person/month for civil servants and public employees with a pension level from 3,200,000 VND/person/month to less than 3,500,000 VND/person/month:
Pension 2025 = 3,500,000 VND/month.
