During the 3 days (October 15-17), trade union officials will listen to the vice presidents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and senior reporters from a number of relevant ministries and branches discuss and guide 10 topics related to the thinking, vision, and skills of trade union officials in the new context, issues facing the Vietnam Trade Union organization in the new situation, leadership skills in thematic activities on representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of workers, propaganda work, inspection and supervision work, women's work, financial work, organizational work, trade union officials, bidding work, security situation among workers, and the task of building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises and trade unions.
Speaking at the opening of the course, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized that in the country's renewal period, especially in the context of frequent and continuous changes and fluctuations in the international and domestic context, especially the impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution, training and updating knowledge for trade union officials is becoming more and more important.
Based on Regulation No. 145-QD/TW dated May 10, 2024 of the Politburo "On the regime of training and updating knowledge and skills for leaders and managers at all levels", the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has developed a plan for training, fostering and standardizing the team of trade union officials, including the chairmen and vice chairmen of the provincial and municipal labor federations, central industry unions, trade unions of corporations, economic and public service units under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
“The purpose of the training and knowledge update course is to help union officials broaden their vision, improve their capacity and thinking, and form working methods and styles suitable for the new situation. At the same time, the course also helps union officials have the opportunity to meet, exchange and share experiences, especially on difficult and inadequacies in practice,” emphasized Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu.
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu also requested that union officials should strive to focus, improve their responsibility, actively discuss, be serious, respect class hours, and participate in contributing ideas to complete the tasks of the class together.
