Police colonel salary in 2024

Minh Hương |

The salary of police colonels in 2024 is divided into 2 stages - before and after July 1, 2024.

How to calculate the salary of a People's Public Security Colonel in 2024 according to the formula:

People's police salary coefficient x basic salary.

Currently, the police salary coefficient is specified in Table 6 issued with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP. The salary coefficient of a People's Police Colonel is 8.0.

* With the basic salary before July 1, 2024, the basic salary is 1.8 million VND, then the salary of a police colonel is 14,400,000 VND.

The first salary increase coefficient is 8.4, the second salary increase coefficient is 8.6.

The salary of a public security officer with the rank of colonel according to each salary increase is determined as follows:

- First salary increase: 1,800,000 x 8.4 = 15,120,000 VND/month.

- Second salary increase: 1,800,000 x 8.6 = 15,480,000 VND/month.

* Basic salary of 2.34 million VND from July 1, 2024 onwards, police colonels will receive a salary of 18,720,000 VND/month.

- First salary increase: 2,340,000 x 8.4 = 19,656,000 VND/month.

- Second salary increase: 2,340,000 x 8.6 = 20,124,000 VND/month.

In addition to the new salary schedule due to the increase in basic salary of 2.34 million VND, police colonels will still enjoy the current allowance regime (seniority allowance, public service allowance, position allowance...).
