The Chairman of the Commune Veterans Association is a commune-level official as prescribed in Decree 33/2023/ND-CP.
Article 19 of the Decree stipulates the allowance for commune-level leadership positions as follows:
Commune-level cadres specified in Clause 1, Article 16 of this Decree are entitled to leadership position allowances compared to the basic salary as follows:
1. Party Secretary: 0.30.
2. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Chairman of the People's Committee: 0.25.
3. Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee: 0.20.
4. Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Women's Union, President of the Farmers' Association, President of the Veterans' Association: 0.15.
The basic salary in 2025 is expected to remain the same as it is now, as Resolution 159/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly has decided not to increase public sector salaries, pensions, social insurance benefits, monthly allowances, and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services in 2025.
The current basic salary is 2,340,000 VND/month according to Clause 2, Article 3 of Decree 73/2024/ND-CP.
Thus, the position allowance of the Chairman of the Commune Veterans Association is: 0.15 x 2,340,000 VND = 351,000 VND/month.
