According to Decree 73/2024/ND-CP, from July 1, 2024, the basic salary will be adjusted to VND 2,340,000/month. This salary level applies not only to officers and professional soldiers but also to workers, defense officials and contract workers of the Vietnam People's Army.
In addition to the basic salary, the regulation of leadership allowances is also very important. The leadership allowance table is divided into two parts, including the People's Army Leadership Allowance Table and the Cryptography Leadership Allowance Table, clearly specified in Table 3 of Appendix I issued with Circular 41/2023/TT-BQP.
Leadership allowances will be calculated based on the new basic salary from July 1, 2024.
For company commanders, the coefficient is 0.30, the allowance implemented from July 1, 2024 is 702,000 VND.
The level of allowances for leadership positions in the military is influenced by many important factors, starting with the nature and tasks of the position.
The complexity and responsibility of the job directly determines the allowance; positions requiring higher responsibilities usually come with larger allowances. In addition, the special nature of the military also creates unique requirements, requiring allowances to be adjusted accordingly.
