On October 4, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Federation of Labor organized a training conference on legal consultancy in 2024 for staff working in legal consultancy at all levels of the Union.
Accordingly, in the past time, Thua Thien Hue Trade Union at all levels has consulted on 1,357 cases; responded to 558 petitions, recommendations, and reflections; selected, compiled, and answered 315 legal questions and answers posted on the Hue Trade Union Website and Facebook.
Thereby promptly consulting and propagating the law to union members and workers to prevent, refute and handle false information that negatively affects labor relations and disrupts political security, order and social safety.
Organized dialogue with employers to resolve 15 labor disputes and collective work stoppages, sued businesses for insurance debts, and claimed benefits for employees.
Specifically, suing Thua Thien Hue Transport - Irrigation Construction Investment Joint Stock Company at Hue City People's Court and forcing the company to pay more than 995 million VND in salary for 27 employees and pay more than 1.7 billion VND in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance debt for 25 employees.
In addition, trade unions at all levels also focus on disseminating new laws and legal documents that have come into effect to workers; enhancing innovation and application of information technology in propaganda and dissemination of laws through online forms to help workers know and grasp basic knowledge of labor laws and policies in the fastest way.
Constant innovation, always closely following practical needs and conditions, has contributed to raising the awareness of law compliance of employees and employers, helping them better understand legal regulations.
From there, they have faith in the law and self-regulate their behavior in accordance with legal regulations, protect their legitimate rights and interests, and are more courageous in reporting illegal acts.
