Do not listen to unofficial information.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (LDTBXH) of Dak Lak province said that recently, on social networks, there has been a situation where some organizations and individuals have taken advantage of information about the program to work in Australia in the agricultural sector to commit fraud.
The subjects forged a license to operate a service of sending workers to work abroad issued by the Ministry of Labor, War invalids and Social Affairs (LDTBXH), posted information introducing the program with attractive content... Then, the subjects asked the workers to transfer a sum of money in advance to complete exit procedures. After receiving the money, the subjects erased traces on the internet and fled...
Regarding this issue, the Department of Overseas Labor Management (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) has issued a warning about the situation of many organizations and individuals showing signs of fraud in sending seasonal workers to Korea to work illegally.
Currently, there are 17 provinces and cities nationwide that have signed agreements with Korean localities to send seasonal workers to work under the E8 visa (including Dak Lak province). E8 visa is for short-term seasonal workers mainly working in agriculture under the cooperation program of the province in coordination with the Korean province. In Dak Lak province, only Ea Sup district is recruiting for E8 visa.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly - Head of Division of Labor, Employment and Vocational Education (Dak Lak Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) shared that recently, the authorities have repeatedly warned and advised workers. However, there are still cases of brokers spreading information and defrauding workers who want to work seasonally in the agricultural sector in Korea under the E8 visa.
"People should absolutely not listen to unofficial advertising information," Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly warned.
Nearly 1,000 workers have gone to work abroad.
In the 2021-2025 period, Dak Lak province aims to create jobs for 150,000 people. Of which, the locality strives to send 7,000 - 7,500 people to work abroad for a limited period. Since the beginning of 2024, the whole province has had nearly 1,000 workers working abroad for a limited period and more than 200 workers working abroad for seasonal work.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly said that Dak Lak province has achieved many positive results in labor export, contributing to the effective implementation of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
However, in reality, the imbalance between labor supply and demand is still continuing. On the other hand, the soft skills of workers are still weak, so the connection between labor supply and demand is not high. Currently, there is a lot of propaganda information about labor export, especially from companies outside the province, causing information confusion and loss of trust of workers... From the above situation, in the coming time, the provincial authorities will create conditions and closely coordinate with businesses to advise and recruit workers. At the same time, continue to effectively implement the policy of supporting loans to maintain, expand and create jobs in the country; borrow capital to work abroad under contracts from the National Employment Fund and from local budget capital entrusted through the Social Policy Bank. In particular, equip workers with necessary knowledge and skills.
