Meeting recruitment needs at the end of the year
After the merger, the city has nearly 2.1 million workers. In the area, many industrial parks and clusters are taking shape, so the demand for labor is very large. According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, through grasping the employment situation of businesses, many businesses are in need of additional labor but are having difficulties in recruitment.
Meanwhile, the newly recruited labor force in enterprises is also a source for developing union members of the Trade Union organization. Therefore, to accompany businesses, the City Labor Federation plans to organize the 2025 Job Consulting - Social Housing Festival.
The program will be an effective bridge between employees and businesses, contributing to job creation, sustainable labor restructuring, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development of the city and the country. Along with that, support union members, employees, students, demobilized soldiers and freelance workers to access market information, recruitment trends, career orientation and appropriate job opportunities - Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation said.
The "First Employment Consulting - Social Housing Festival in 2025" is expected to take place for 3 days, from December 5 to 7, 2025 at the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace with the participation of about 130 booths of companies, businesses and units. Area 1 is a job consultation booth, supporting workers, area 2 is a consultation booth on social housing projects (NOXH), area 3 will be a food stall serving union members and people coming to participate in the program.
One of the first businesses to register to participate in the festival, a representative of KYOWA Vietnam Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. (Trang Due Industrial Park) said that the unit is looking to recruit more than 50 workers at the end of the year. Of which, 50 are unskilled workers for the work of checking the exterior of components, transporting goods, etc.
The rest are trained labor positions such as occupational safety and hygiene specialists, production planning, assembly, and warehouse staff. The company also informed about policies and regimes to attract employees such as travel allowance of 400,000 VND, diligence allowance of 500,000 VND, housing allowance of 300,000 VND/month, allowance for Japanese, Chinese, children, shift meals, etc.
According to information from the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, by November 11, the unit had received many applications to participate in the festival from businesses inside and outside the city.
Bringing social housing information closer to workers
Not only being consulted and introduced to jobs, at the festival, employees are consulted and introduced to social housing projects that have been and are being completed; open-end housing funds; registration procedures, social housing purchase procedures; support for low-interest loans for union members and employees. Along with that are a series of attractive events such as the talk show "Touching dreams: Housing within reach - Employment within reach" on the morning of December 6.
According to the City Labor Federation, to make the festival effective, the unit also requested the Department of Home Affairs to provide professional support in organizing job fairs, online exchanges with employees from far away, who do not have the opportunity to listen to direct consultation.
