Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Trade Union of TAV Company Limited organized a fundraising campaign to support people in the Central and Central Highlands affected by floods. The program took place at the Headquarters of TAV Company Limited in Nguyen Duc Canh Industrial Park (Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hung Yen Province).
The activity has received the response of over 80% of union members and workers in the company. The total amount of donations reached 90 million VND and was transferred to the account of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people in flooded areas to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Do Thi Huong - President of the Hung Yen Provincial Federation of Labor thanked the affection, contributions and sharing of the union members and workers in the company; the donated funds transferred to the account of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will soon be transferred to the people in flooded areas, ensuring publicity, transparency and efficiency.
In response to the common appeal, the collective of union members and workers of Innoflow Vina Co., Ltd. (Do Luong Industrial Park, Bac Tien Hung Commune, Hung Yen Province) also launched a donation campaign, supporting 24,995,000 VND to the Relief Mobilization Committee of Hung Yen Province to support people in flooded areas.
TAV Company Limited is a 100% foreign-owned enterprise, specializing in the production of shirts and T-shirts for export with more than 5,400 employees. In recent years, the company has maintained many social responsibility activities such as regular voluntary blood donation twice a year; supported the construction of 2 libraries, 16 toilets in schools; sponsored backpacks and anti-close-air lamps for students.
The Company's Trade Union also focuses on taking care of union members' lives through programs to honor workers, early health check-ups and cancer screening, psychological - family - financial consultation with expert Dinh Doan; organizing Shopping Festivals, sports festivals... to improve welfare and connect workers.
In the coming time, the grassroots trade union will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, affirm its role as a representative, caretaker and protection of workers' rights; at the same time, contribute to building a team of modern, knowledgeable and creative workers.
