Safe fire transformer in the largest copper mine in Vietnam

Dedicated to each shift, strict to keep safety

Born in 1994 - a driver operating equipment at Sin Quyen Copper mine - a position that requires absolute accuracy - Mr. Hoang Manh Duc always puts safety first. During the peak month of Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2025, he proactively proposed many solutions: Closely check work forms and construction orders; early detection of potential technical errors; remind colleagues to equip themselves with protection and fully comply with safety measures before going to the site.

As a Safety and Hygiene officer of the operating team, he disseminates new regulations every day, analyzes unsafe situations for the whole team to learn from. He resolutely asked to stop if he discovered the risk, even though he was sometimes "disappointed". "I just hope everyone complies with safety so as not to have any negligence" - Mr. Duc shared.

For many consecutive years, the production area under his supervision has not had any subjective incidents; equipment has been operating stably, contributing to increasing the production efficiency of the unit. That effort helped him achieve the title of "Outstanding occupational safety and hygiene" awarded by TKV Mineral Corporation in 2025.

His spirit of following Uncle Ho is expressed in simple things: Dedicated, responsible, disciplined, strict with yourself, but sincere with your teammates. The new generation of young workers often have him accompany them from the style to the vocational skills; after the shift, he still carefully reads the production logs, summarizes problems to provide further guidance for new employees.

During the midday break, leaving the workshop in a sweat-soaked worker's shirt and sunburned face, Mr. Duc continued to walk on the construction site, carrying the trust of his colleagues and the quiet and shining spirit of "Mining Man".

Not only serious at work, Mr. Duc is also active in cultural - sports movements, volunteering, supporting mutual assistance funds, Trade Union Social Fund, Children's Support Fund... of the unit and the locality.

Thanks to his persistent contributions, he received many certificates of merit, achieving the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level. Recently, he was honored by the Mineral Corporation - TKV as "Skilled Worker".

For many years, the area he is in charge of has always been absolutely safe, without any subjective incidents. Germany also has many valuable initiatives, helping to save costs for the unit".
