Attending the workshop were Mr. Tran Nhat Minh - Member of the Law Committee of the National Assembly, full-time National Assembly delegate of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province; Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Permanent Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation; also attending were representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors; Labor Federations of districts, cities and towns, industry unions, affiliated grassroots unions and 13 enterprises with a large number of workers in the whole province.
The Trade Union Law (amended) consists of 6 chapters and 37 articles (amended and supplemented 32 articles; added 5 new articles) compared to the 2012 Trade Union Law.
The revised Law on Employment consists of 9 chapters and 130 articles; an increase of 2 chapters and 68 articles compared to the 2013 Law on Employment to conform to standards, practices and commitments in the employment sector that Vietnam participates in.
The new Draft Regulations on Emulation and Rewards consists of 8 chapters and 57 articles, keeping the total number of chapters the same and increasing 1 article compared to the old Regulations.
At the conference, delegates contributed 13 opinions focusing on issues such as: Organization of the apparatus and management mechanism of trade union cadres, recruitment policy for union cadres who have grown up from the grassroots, plan for dividing union funds, the right to proactively supervise the social nature of the union, time to perform trade union tasks of non-professional trade union cadres, procedures for joining the Vietnam Trade Union of workers' organizations at enterprises...
Regarding the emulation and reward regulations, the workshop had many opinions surrounding the rate of awarding emulation flags and certificates of merit from the General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Federation of Labor; Awarding certificates of merit and flags to grassroots trade unions of civil agencies; Time for submitting commendation dossiers; Granting and paying bonuses for the title of advanced worker to collectives and individuals who are full-time trade union officials...
Acknowledging the serious, dedicated and effective spirit of the workshop, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh highly appreciated the practical and accurate comments of the delegates. As a National Assembly delegate, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh will summarize the most important contents to present to the National Assembly.
Concluding the conference, Permanent Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Chi Cong acknowledged and directed a number of contents related to issues of concern to delegates, and at the same time requested delegates to continue to promote a sense of responsibility in building and contributing ideas to laws in the coming time.
