Hoa Thanh Company Limited (Tien Lang District) continuously announced the recruitment of 200 mold workers and 100 workers for other departments. According to the company's union representative, after the period of overcoming the damage caused by storm No. 3, the company has been operating stably and has many orders. Therefore, the company needs a large number of additional workers to meet production progress and customer requirements, especially in the last month of the year.
In addition to the garment and footwear industry, which has a large demand for workers, the electronics industry is also increasing its demand for workers. According to the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union, in mid-2024, 128 businesses have a need to recruit 10,133 workers. Up to now, the demand for labor recruitment is still very large because most businesses have recovered production after Typhoon Yagi, with abundant orders until 2025.
Offer incentives to attract workers

Along with that, Maple Company Limited offers bonuses to attract sewing workers such as rewarding unskilled sewing workers for the first time with 1.5 million VND/person, skilled sewing workers for the first time with 3 million VND (if joining the company before October 31, 2024, the bonus is the entire 13th month salary); rewarding those who introduce sewing workers for the first time with 1.5 million VND/person.

However, through discussions, many businesses still have difficulty recruiting workers due to lack of supply. The reason for this situation, according to a representative of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Hai Phong City, is that income does not meet the expected living standards, so workers consider switching to informal jobs with higher incomes. Other localities are also developing many industrial parks, so the immigrant labor force in Hai Phong tends to return to their hometowns to work.
To address the labor shortage, the department also coordinated with localities to organize many activities to connect job supply and demand. Most recently, the job fair in Duong Kinh district on November 2 attracted 35 units and businesses, connecting jobs for thousands of workers.
In the long term, the city will support businesses in linking, cooperating, ordering training and employing workers with the city's training facilities, ensuring a skilled workforce for production. At the same time, it will focus on developing social housing, worker housing and necessary institutions to attract workers from other provinces to work and stay in Hai Phong for a long time.
