"Special" person
According to my family, I was born on the day of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification - April 30, 1975, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - opened the conversation.
For Vietnamese people, being born at the moment marking "the right river in one strip" is a special event, but for Ms. Vui, it is more than that. Because in addition to the mark of time, she also has a name that bears the emotions of that sacred moment.
Like many people born in My An Hung B (Lap Vo district, Dong Thap province), the place was chosen by Uncle Ton 3 times as a meeting place to direct the resistance at the end of 1945 and early 1946, when he received the information of revolutionary tanks hit the gate of Independence Palace, liberating the South, unifying the country, her father offered emotions. In order to record this beautiful memory, he decided to take the name Fun for her. Because before that, the sisters had used the word Tuyet, so her name became Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui.
Maybe, for many people, this name is not beautiful, but for Ms. Vui, it is a beautiful mark and pride, because it is associated with the special emotions of the father and marks the sacred event of the Fatherland.
The mark of work
The small body, but Ms. Vui had a very strong way of working. Being assigned to be the Secretary of the Party Committee on the 11th Provincial Trade Union Congress (October 18, 2023), for financial students like her is a big challenge because they have just gotten acquainted with new work and expertise. However, exactly as the vision of the provincial leaders, in the first year of the executive, she brought the Labor Union's Party Committee to achieve the title of "successfully completing the task in 2024".
This is the first time Ms. Vui has made seemingly "impossible" things come true. After graduating in finance, Ms. Vui was recruited by a company in Ho Chi Minh City with an attractive salary. However, in 2000, like many people in the upstream area of the Mekong River, her family was affected by the historic flood... To conveniently take care of her family, she returned to her hometown to find a job. After being accepted by the commune leaders for recruitment, she was assigned to work as a commune radio employee.
Taking on a new job, unfamiliar with financial expertise, but her awareness of complying with the organization did not allow her to give up. "Learn what you don't know", with that motto, Ms. Vui gradually completed her tasks well and was elected Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee. She then held many positions in Party agencies, mass organizations, authorities, from communes, districts, provinces... And she continued to have that working attitude when running the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor.
placing a long-term foundation
One of Ms. Vui's outstanding achievements as leader of the Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union is tightening internal solidarity. After giving the policy for the agency's Trade Union to take advantage of the upper court to establish the "Union Activity Corner". Through the arrangement of tables and chairs, Trade Union newspapers and many forms of sharing such as drawing lots to contribute capital to turn around... "Trade Union Activity Corner" is not only a place to exchange and share work, but also a place to promote creativity, spread good stories, and new ways of doing things.
In particular, Ms. Vui has increased her go to the field to listen to the thoughts and voices of the grassroots. Not only attending most events in the system, she also directly visited and provided support to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances.
Most impressive is the fact that she walked hundreds of meters in a small alley in Sa Dec City to visit union member Le Van Dung (a security guard at the Provincial Kindergarten) whose son was disabled and had a broken left leg, a broken left arm, and a spinal injury...
In addition to strengthening internal solidarity and promoting internal strength, she is also the one who "opens the door" to connect the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor with the outside after many years of interruption, to receive external strength. Not only strengthening relations with provincial agencies, especially media agencies, she also organized a delegation to go to units with achievements to study and exchange experiences.
From there, adding external resources to organize Dong Thap Trade Union to form a practical way for workers and laborers, such as: supporting the Trade Union Shelter, happy buses...
"Being a very special female cadres, mature from the grassroots level, overcome difficulties from the family, strive to make good efforts, take over and successfully complete the tasks in many working positions. Fun, the generation of Vietnamese citizens in the Ho Chi Minh era continues to "good at water and good at housework".
