Starting from zero
Sharing with reporters, Ms. Cuc talked about her journey of striving, which, according to her, started from the number 0: Her parents are farmers, her brother and younger brother are also just workers, and she has finished grade 12.
Coming to work at Canon Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. ( canon Company), Ms. Cuc started as an assembly worker on the production line. As someone who is passionate about exploring and learning, Ms. Cuc always wants to study, improve her skills and strive more at work. After more than 10 years of working at Canon Company, Ms. Cuc said that she was lucky because her desire to learn was recognized and supported by her superiors.
I was trained 1:1 by superiors. Moreover, I was trained during work, not overtime. I understand this is a great opportunity for workers, but not every company is willing to support, said Ms. Cuc.
Every day during the training process, Ms. Cuc studies theory in parallel with practice. This method helps a worker who has just graduated from high school like her quickly grasp the problem and easily understand the content conveyed.
When she mastered programming, Ms. Cuc had more motivation to explore. "I noticed that an inspection production stage with the eyes takes a lot of time and errors can easily occur if workers forget to check. To learn more, I learned about camera testing technology using Python software. Thanks to that, I learn, research and propose to leaders to apply to some stages on the production line, Ms. Cuc shared.
No loss of faith...
According to Ms. Cuc, for workers, the care and support of the company's leaders is always a great motivation and a support for each person to strive, without losing the enthusiasm and trust of the leaders in themselves.
Aspiring to rise up and take advantage of every precious opportunity to study and improve her skills, Ms. Cuc regularly visits specialized YouTube pages to learn more. When there is an ununderstanding problem that is still overwhelming, when coming to the company, she will ask more colleagues or leaders to consolidate her knowledge. I started learning programming with C#, C+ codes; after using it proficiently, I learned more complex programs to control robots. Now that AI technology is developing very strongly, when I finish this programming area, my colleagues and I will propose to learn more about AI technology, said Ms. Cuc.
During her efforts, Ms. Cuc has always been supported by her family in everything to have more time to study. "My family always encourages me to have more faith, high determination and to achieve my goals. My husband and 2 sons supported me wholeheartedly, both as motivation and a great source of encouragement for me to overcome many difficulties and challenges, and to have today, Ms. Cuc proudly said.
