On the afternoon of October 11, the Binh Thuan Provincial Civil Servants' Union organized a forum on "The role of women in politics and maintaining family happiness in the context of digital transformation and the 4.0 technology revolution" and a meeting to celebrate the 94th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day.
Opening the forum, Mr. Tran Ngoc Phuc - Chairman of Binh Thuan Civil Servants' Union sent greetings on Vietnamese Women's Day October 20 to female union members at the grassroots level and female union officials at affiliated unions.
Emphasizing the role of women, Mr. Phuc said that from ancient times to the present, women not only play an important role in "keeping the fire" for the family, but are also the core force contributing to the overall development of society. Especially, in the 4.0 era, the role of women is more diverse and important.
Sharing at the forum, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Hoai, Vice Principal, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Binh Thuan Provincial Political School, said that in the era of digital transformation and the 4.0 industrial revolution, women not only play an important role in the family, but also increasingly assert their position in many fields, especially in politics and social leadership. This has brought many opportunities but also created a lot of new pressure for women in balancing work and family.
Ms. Hoai raised the question: What solutions are needed for women to do well in their work at the office and at the same time take good care of their families? Female union members, leaders of participating agencies and male union members all participated in answering, discussing and sharing experiences to harmonize work and family.
To create a joyful atmosphere, at the forum, Binh Thuan Civil Servants’ Union organized the Ao Dai Charming Contest. Female union members performed Ao Dai on stage with confident and creative steps. The audience then voted and selected the most beautiful female union members to receive awards.
Through the forum, the Binh Thuan Provincial Civil Servants’ Union wishes to share and honor the efforts and contributions of women in balancing work and family in the 4.0 era. Not only are they leaders and political participants, but women are also the ones who keep the fire burning, connecting traditional family values in the modern world.
