The conference was attended by Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy Trang - Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Dao Thanh Ward Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thuy Hoa, with leaders of the People's Committee, the Ward Fatherland Front Committee and 67 delegates representing more than 2,000 union members and workers in the ward.
The delegates listened to a report on the process of establishing the Dao Thanh Ward Trade Union from October 1, 2025 according to Decision No. 144/QD-LDLD of the Provincial Federation of Labor Standing Committee, receiving 33 grassroots trade unions and trade unions with a total of 2,006 union members. Labor relations in the area remain stable and harmonious thanks to the trade union both protecting the rights of workers and supporting businesses to improve production and business efficiency.
Grassroots trade unions focus on caring for the lives and legitimate rights of union members; actively implementing propaganda on labor laws, social insurance and policies; every year, grassroots trade unions coordinate with authorities and enterprises to take care of union members' material and spiritual needs, visit them when they are hospitable, sick or sick, contributing to building a united and stable working environment.
The conference voted to approve the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 term of the Ward Trade Union with 07 term targets, 08 annual targets and 09 groups of tasks and solutions. In particular, it identified 03 breakthroughs: Strongly applying digital transformation technology to all union activities, promoting innovation, improving the effectiveness of propaganda, gathering and serving union members and workers; Concentrating resources on participating in developing and proposing policies and laws to improve vocational skills for workers; Promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, especially on wages, bonuses, working hours - rest and occupational safety and hygiene.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy Trang praised the efforts of the Executive Committee of the Dao Thanh Ward Trade Union in arranging and stabilizing the activities of the Ward Trade Union since its establishment; actively and proactively in preparing for the 1st Executive Committee Conference, term 2025 - 2030 to ensure the plan and direction of the Provincial Federation of Labor Standing Committee.
The 2025-2030 term is the period when trade unions need to innovate their methods of operation, promote their role as a bridge between workers and enterprises, and at the same time apply digital transformation technology to improve the effectiveness of propaganda, gathering and serving union members.
Ms. Trang suggested that the Executive Committee of the new term union focus on implementing well the work of caring for, protecting rights and improving the spiritual life of union members; regularly monitoring, promptly grasping the thoughts, aspirations, difficulties and problems of union members and workers; focusing on developing union members to establish grassroots unions, stabilizing the organization and increasingly improving the quality of activities, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
The Vice President of the Dong Thap Dong Provincial Federation of Labor believes that with a high sense of responsibility and determination, the Ward Union Executive Committee will successfully complete the goals, becoming a core force accompanying businesses in sustainable development.
The conference announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions for the 2025-2030 term, in which comrade Doan Tri Nhan holds the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union. At the same time, the Decision to allocate 05 delegates to the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030 was announced.
