On December 2, the Trade Union of Can Tho City Oncology Hospital successfully held the 5th Congress, term 2025-2030. This is an important political event, marking a new step in the development of the Hospital Trade Union.

Over the past term, the Hospital Trade Union has always affirmed and promoted its role as a socio-political organization representing the collective of civil servants and employees (VC-NLD). The work of caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members has been shown through activities of visiting, encouraging, and giving gifts on holidays and Tet; supporting union members in difficult circumstances, illnesses, disasters, etc. with a total amount of more than 1.5 billion VND.
The unit also cares about practical support for members in their studies, training, and improvement of professional qualifications, skills, as well as in life. Accordingly, 110 members were given the opportunity to borrow capital without interest from the pig fund to serve their studies, improve their qualifications, and improve their lives, with a total budget of 1.6 billion VND.
The trade union regularly organizes employees to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in conjunction with professional tasks; launch patriotic emulation movements, "Good at public work - good at housework", "Good at work - Creative work", creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the hospital.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Le Cong Khanh - Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation and Head of the City Trade Union Work Committee - acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results of the Trade Union in Trade Union activities as well as professional work, for public health.
In the new term, the Vice President of the City Labor Federation suggested that the grassroots trade unions need to advise the Party Committee well, closely coordinate with the Board of Directors to strictly implement grassroots democracy regulations, ensuring that all contents related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees are public and transparent.
In particular, as a unit directly under the City Labor Federation, the Oncology Hospital Trade Union needs to implement the General Secretary's direction on Trade Union activities with 3 needs (need union members, employees; need digital space; need a facility); 4 no (no form; no avoidance; no pushing; no wrongful obligations) and 5 must (must listen; must dialogue; must be a model; must take responsibility; must report the results).

The Congress elected 9 comrades to the Executive Committee of the new term of the Trade Union; elected 1 official delegate and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030. Comrade Le Tien Manh was elected Chairman of the Trade Union of Can Tho City Oncology Hospital for the 2025-2030 term.
