This is an important milestone marking the birth and official implementation of the Trade Union organization in the locality.
At the Conference, delegates listened to reports on the process of mobilizing the establishment of commune trade unions; evaluate the initial results in propaganda work, mobilizing union members, organizing emulation movements and caring for workers' lives.
The conference voted to approve 9 term targets, 4 annual targets and 2 breakthroughs. In which, 3 key indicators were emphasized, including: Striving to gather at least 98% of qualified workers in the area to join the Trade Union; Establishing grassroots trade unions in 100% of enterprises and cooperatives with 10 or more workers when qualified; striving to have 90% or more of union members and workers disseminated and studied the Party's Directives and Resolutions and the State's laws and policies.
Along with that, the indicators on representing and protecting the rights of workers such as 100% of enterprise-based trade unions and cooperatives participating in implementing the democratic Regulations; 70% of labor agreements have more favorable provisions; 60% of agreements are classified as class B or higher, continue to be identified as key tasks.
The conference agreed that the two breakthroughs will be strongly prioritized: Promoting innovation and innovation, strongly applying digital transformation in Trade Union activities, especially in propaganda, gathering, caring for and serving union members and workers; Coordinate the implementation of introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission, actively participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system.
Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - acknowledged the proactive and decisive spirit of the Phuong Thinh Commune Trade Union in quickly stabilizing the organization and starting to carry out the first tasks after being established. The Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor highly appreciated the Executive Committee for promptly grasping the situation at the grassroots level, building a system of targets and directions for the 2025-2030 term close to the requirements of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor and in accordance with practical conditions in the locality.
The Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor suggested that the Commune Union focus on performing well the key tasks of the term. In particular, developing union members and establishing grassroots unions must be identified as a continuous breakthrough. Commune trade unions need to focus on taking care of the lives and welfare of union members and workers; maintaining timely visits and support for disadvantaged cases; promoting the tradition of mutual love and enhancing socialization to mobilize more resources to serve union members.
The conference also announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor to appoint the Executive Committee of the Phuong Thinh Commune Trade Union, consisting of 3 members, of which Mr. Le Van Phuong was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Commune Trade Union.
