On November 2, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Thanh - Chairwoman of the Thanh My Tay Ward Trade Union, Ho Chi Minh City - said that the 1st Thanh My Tay Ward Trade Union Delegation Conference, term 2025 - 2030, has just been held and set out a number of targets such as: Mobilizing the establishment of grassroots trade unions in 100% of enterprises with 25 or more employees; establishing at least 1 grassroots trade union; admitting at least 1,000 union members during the term.
At the same time, provide legal advice and support to 100% of union members and workers when required, and coordinate or organize at least 1 activity to care for the children of workers, civil servants and laborers in the area each year; Every year, coordinate with the local management working group to organize at least 1 training course on skills and expertise for 100% of new union officials; 100% of full-time union officials ensure standardization in professional expertise, political theory, and professional theory of trade unions in accordance with job positions.
The Thanh My Tay Ward Trade Union also supports grassroots trade unions in the area to propagate to 100% of union members and workers at enterprises with trade unions about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, the Trade Union, and the locality. Strive to have 80% of enterprise-based trade unions organize labor conferences and 100% of administrative unit trade unions organize conferences for civil servants and employees every year; Support 80% or more of qualified grassroots trade unions to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements at enterprises.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Thanh also said that since its establishment (July 1, 2025) until now, the Ward Union has perfected its apparatus, built an action program and presented 135 gifts, organized "Union Meals" at 28 units, awarded 1,324 Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships, 30 "Union Study Corner" to union members' children; mobilized the establishment of 8 grassroots unions, admitted nearly 200 new union members.
On this occasion, 6 outstanding individuals were awarded the "For the cause of building the Trade Union organization" Medal, recognizing their positive contributions to the labor movement in the locality.
