At the end of May 2024, Ms. Hoang Thi Nong (Ham Yen district, Tuyen Quang) was admitted to the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of Chung Jye Tuyen Quang Shoe Manufacturing Company Limited. Also in this period, 568 other workers of the company also stood in the trade union with indescribable joy.
Ms. Nong said: "I have only been working in the company for more than 2 months but have already been interested in being admitted to the union. I think everywhere there must be an organization to represent and protect our rights. I'm very happy to hold the admission decision in my hand. I hope the union will continue to pay more attention to us."
Chung Jye Shoe Manufacturing Company Limited is one of the units with the largest number of union members in Tuyen Quang province. Currently, this unit has 3 union sections operating in 3 branches (Ham Yen, Yen Son and Son Duong) with a total of over 5,400 union members who are officers and workers.
Mr. Nguyen The Tung - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Chung Jye Shoe Manufacturing Co., Ltd. said that in conditions where companies still face certain difficulties in recruiting and retaining stable, long-term workers. Recently, the Communist Party of Vietnam has actively coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to propagate and mobilize employees to participate in recruitment and work stably at the company.
“We regularly integrate propaganda sessions and mobilize workers to see the benefits of trade unions in the unit's programs and activities. Through this, workers also understand their rights and benefits when standing in a trade union. This is also a prerequisite for the Company's Communist Party to admit new members," Mr. Tung informed.
In fact, a strong Communist Party means that activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers are promoted. In the past 5 years, over 16,000 workers have been admitted to Communist unions, in the first 6 months of 2024 alone, over 1,000 workers have been admitted.

To do this well, it is necessary to clearly define the roles and tasks of each trade union level, especially the role of the direct superior union at the grassroots level in mobilizing, guiding, and supporting workers to participate in the establishment of trade unions. “We will also diversify forms of outreach, propaganda, and mobilization of workers to join the Vietnam Trade Union through activities to take care of specific and practical benefits, taking the interests of union members as priority. basis to gather and attract workers," Ms. Thuy said.
