Passionate about work
Due to the nature of his work in preventive medicine and food poisoning prevention, Mr. Quoc (born in 1983, Thai ethnic group) often has to travel to remote areas in Thuan Chau district. While preparing equipment for a long business trip, Mr. Quoc said: “I was born and raised in the mountains, and since I was a child, I have had a strong love for the medical industry and a desire to treat people. In 2007, I started working in the medical industry, then continued to study and work at the Thuan Chau District Medical Center until now.”
According to Mr. Quoc, the challenge he faced when he first started his career was the lack of work experience, not being able to do difficult and complicated tasks, and the difference between theory and practice was very large. He had to learn from his colleagues, actively participate in training courses to improve his professional qualifications, and be ready to overcome all difficulties and challenges to complete assigned tasks well.
Thuan Chau district is a mountainous area with many difficulties, with the majority of people being ethnic minorities, so every time they work to prevent and combat food poisoning, medical staff always have to try to bring medical knowledge to the people in the most convenient and easy-to-understand way.
Always with union members and workers
During his work, Mr. Quoc has always received the trust of his colleagues and union members in the unit. In April 2023, Mr. Quoc was elected Vice Chairman of the Union of Thuan Chau District Medical Center.
In his role, Mr. Quoc and the Executive Board of the Trade Union proactively built coordination regulations and regulations on the operation of the trade union so that cadres and civil servants could proactively monitor, especially in the implementation of the Labor Law, the policies and regimes of the Party and the State towards workers. At the same time, he strengthened the inspection and supervision of monthly salary payments and periodic salary increases for cadres and civil servants; inspected the direction and organization of the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations according to the Government's Decree and the guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
In addition, always pay attention to and visit union members and their families in case of emergencies, illness, funerals, and weddings; focus on rewarding and encouraging union members, creating motivation for them to constantly strive to improve their professional qualifications and actively participate in cultural and sports activities.
Thuan Chau District Medical Center's grassroots union currently has 223 members, with more than 90% of the union members recognized as excellent union members, and 100% of the female union members achieving the title of "Good at public work, good at housework". With his continuous contributions for many years, Mr. Lo Toan Quoc has been recognized as a grassroots emulation fighter for 5 years; participated in researching 7 grassroots scientific research topics and was recognized by the Department of Health at the same time, receiving certificates of merit from the Son La Department of Health and the People's Committee of Thuan Chau district; certificate of merit from the Son La Provincial Labor Federation in 2023.
