Union officials are good at state affairs and housework
At Tam Ky Urban Public Service Joint Stock Company, there are 52/105 female workers, the movement "Good at public work, good at home work" is not only a slogan but has become a working motto for each worker.
Ms. Le Thi Thinh - Head of the Women's Union of the grassroots union, Deputy Head of the Green Park Team of Tam Ky Urban Public Service Joint Stock Company - shared an emotional story about the stormy days, when the whole city was still drunk, she and her colleagues were present on the roads to clean up fallen trees and collect garbage.
"There were days when it rained heavily, the water was up to the knees, but if I didn't do it, the streets would be flooded with garbage in the morning, affecting people's lives. Therefore, we always try our best" - Ms. Thinh said.
Understanding the hardships of her colleagues, Ms. Thinh suggested that the company's leaders pay attention to and improve the working environment and income for female workers, helping them balance work and family. Thereby better fulfilling his duties at the company and taking care of his happy family.
She herself also has many initiatives such as: Some measures to care for trees in flower beds in the city; improvements, the best and most effective urban green tree care process; solutions to protect crops during the hot season... Thereby, helping to reduce labor for workers, improve work efficiency, contributing to bringing a green, clean and beautiful environment to Tam Ky city.
Mr. Phan Duong Nhut - Vice President of the Tam Ky City Labor Federation - assessed that in addition to professional duties, as Head of the Women's Union, Ms. Thinh always listens, understands, shares, and is connected with union members and workers.
Ms. Thinh's family also overcame difficulties and took care of her disabled child, and was the only female cadre model in Quang Nam who was "Good at public affairs and good at housework" and was commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor at the 2024 national conference.

However, the trade union is still trying to find solutions to improve the quality of the movement, creating a better working environment for workers, especially female workers.
