Capital Capital Fund will help 2,073 workers borrow and create jobs in 2025

The Capital Fund for Poor Workers and Civil Servants announced that it has disbursed VND106.92 billion to union members, poor workers and low-income workers, reaching 101.9% of the plan. The fund has appraised 3,287 applications and approved 2,874 loans, reaching 102.1% of the plan.

Create new jobs for 2,926 workers

Union members and employees who received the above loans were at 225 grassroots unions of 29 unions directly above the grassroots level. Of which, 1,732 union members and employees at 112 grassroots unions had access to loans from the Capital Assistance Fund for the first time, equivalent to a disbursed capital of VND 63.95 billion (accounting for 60.3% of borrowers and 49.8% of grassroots unions, equivalent to 59.8% of disbursed capital); creating new jobs for 2,926 workers. Thereby, the average household income increased by VND 1.5 - 2.8 million/household/month.

As one of the union members who improved her family's economy with loans from the Capital Assistance Fund, Ms. Do Thi Huong - Union member of Stanley Vietnam Electric Company Limited (under the Gia Lam District Labor Federation) said that from the initial loan, she invested in raising wild pigs and goats to sell to restaurants. This job created jobs for 4 workers and increased the average income by 5 million VND/month.

Meanwhile, union member Nguyen Van Hanh - Trade Union of Van Diem Commune People's Committee (Thuong Tin District Labor Federation) used the loan to implement a garden-pond-cage model including growing grapefruit, raising chickens and ducks; and raising fish. Revenue reached 80 million VND/year and created jobs for 2 workers...

Also a union member who has borrowed capital from the Capital Assistance Fund to effectively improve her family's economy, Ms. Le Thi Van Anh, Union of Tam Hung B Kindergarten (Thanh Oai District Labor Federation) shared that the loan from the Capital Assistance Fund helps union members and poor workers avoid having to borrow from outside, borrow from black credit, which is both high interest and unsafe. With the loan from the Fund, Ms. Van Anh's family invested in raising snails to improve the family's average income...

Deploying a variety of loan products to a wide range of union members

One of the activities of the Capital Assistance Fund that has practical effects on union members and employees is to propagate and deploy a variety of loan products to a large number of union members and employees. Thereby contributing to effectively representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees in the city.

It is known that the outstanding loan balance up to November 30, 2024 of the two microfinance projects is 97 billion 544 million VND, reaching 94.4% of the total operating capital. In which, the outstanding loan balance of the microfinance project program "Capital support fund for poor workers in the capital to develop family economy" is 49.616 billion VND. The outstanding loan balance of the microfinance project program "Loan to improve living conditions" is 47.928 billion VND.

This shows that the Capital Assistance Fund makes maximum use of the capital currently managed for credit lending activities for union members, poor and low-income workers in the city (reaching 94.4% capital usage efficiency), effectively circulating and using the capital assigned for management, ensuring timely and complete collection of receivables of loan principal, interest, and compulsory savings.

For the microfinance project program "Fund to support poor workers and employees in the capital to develop family economy", union members and workers can borrow to do business, improve income; borrow to support vocational training; borrow to support union members' children to go to school.

For the microfinance project program “Loans to improve living conditions”, union members and employees can borrow to improve their living conditions; borrow to improve their housing; borrow to support medical treatment. The diversification of products has brought many advantages and supports as well as met the needs of union members and employees.

In 2025, the Capital Assistance Fund strives to disburse VND 83.62 billion; provide loans to over 2,073 poor and low-income union members and employees, create new jobs for over 1,600 workers, with an average outstanding loan of VND 94.8 billion...
