On July 20, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor said that the grassroots union in coordination with the Board of Directors of VTJ Toms Textile Co., Ltd. has implemented the model of "S up and store breast milk" right at the workplace, to support female workers who are raising young children to be able to maintain breastfeeding.
The model is designed with 6 separate, clean rooms, fully equipped with necessary amenities such as a breast pump, a specialized milk refrigerator, air conditioner, lavabo, hand sanitizer, a process instructions board... with a total cost of about 200 million VND.
This is a practical initiative to support female workers with children under 24 months old, creating conditions for them to work with peace of mind and take care of their children scientifically.
Mr. Le Nhat Tien - Chairman of the Trade Union of VTJ Toms Textile and Garment Company Limited said that the model of "S up and store breast milk" at the enterprise is one of the practical activities to concretize the goal of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights of employees, contributing to building a friendly corporate image for employees.
