Thuan An Ward Fisheries Union consists of 302 members who are fishermen at sea.
After launching, the Executive Committee of Thuan An Ward Fisheries Union will develop a plan to organize regular activities; participate in programs and activities organized by the superior union; organize cultural, artistic and sports activities to improve the spiritual life of crew members.
The establishment of Thuan An Ward Fisheries Union aims to create a united collective, help union members improve their professional skills, help the fishing industry operate stably and exploit responsibly. At the same time, the union is a solid foundation for union members to confidently convert and build new boats to go offshore, contributing to making the seafood fishing industry worthy of being the spearhead economic sector of the locality.
On this occasion, the Hue City Labor Federation in collaboration with the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) presented 111 gifts including national flags and essential necessities, with a total value of nearly 80 million VND. These gifts not only support and encourage the spirit of resilient fishermen to go out to sea, join hands to affirm the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, but also aim to protect the environment and reduce ocean plastic pollution.
